Performance issues - 23/10/2019 Wednesday 23rd October 2019 11:20:00

We are currently witnessing a performance issue at live.hornbill.com. This is due to a change in MS IE browsers that are causing a sharp increase in submitted API requests, as more customers upgrade to the latest IE the more calls are made.

We have a fix in place which should be deployed in the next hour and we are actively working to identify effected customers and take action where required.

We will continue to provide updates as quickly as possible,.

====Update 11:50==== Our developers have identified the root cause and a fix has been applied to Service Manager for a number of areas where the offending IE defect appears. This is available from the app store.

We are working on ensuring that all other instances of code which could be impacted are addressed.

==Update 12:50=== As more customers take the SM upgrade the issue has reduced significantly. We are still monitoring and We are continuing to work on ensuring that all other instances of code which could be impacted are addressed.

==Update 13:50=== We have now identified all occurences of effected functions and identified a common function used across all our applications that when replaced should have a marked improvement on the resolution. This should be released to plaform seamlessly in the next hour or so.

We continue to monitor closely.

===Update 15:50=== All fixes to the platform have now been deployed and we have seen no new instances of unexpected requets or load over the last 40 minutes. We will continue to monitor, however the issue will be marked as fixed. A full RCA will be provided at https://forums.hornbill.com by tomorrow.
